The 0000 extension created by installer

Is the 0000 extension created by the installer special in some way? Should I keep it or can I safely delete it?

You do not mention what version or anything ... but when you set up the system did you setup 0000 as the Operator Extension? You can likely delete, but make sure you goto Settings->PBX and set the 'Operator Extension' again.

As mentioned the first extension created by the PBX is the operator extension. To delete it you must assign a new operator extension otherwise the PBX will not allow you to delete it.
