On a 3CX System v20 Update 4, I have a problem where all the users cannot hear the voice for 3-4 seconds after the call is established. Packet analysis shows an 8-second gap between the "180 Ringing" and "200 OK" responses. I am using a supported SIP Trunk Provider and a supported SBC. What can be the problem here?

Is firewall checker passing? Restarted router? is the spec of the server up to par? is it every call? does it happen in both directions when a call is made?

Hello @flogli

The 180 Ringing and 200 OK packets will have a delay since its the time the call was ringing before it got answered. What you should be looking for is the delay between the ACK message after the 200 OK and the first audio packet coming from your provider. Which provider are you using if I may ask? This could be a network / QoS issue or simply your provider might have a POP closer to you.
