Trying to apply new Key and getting Error code 401

"a networking problem has occurred while activating your license key. (error code: 401)"

Hello all, we have a few customers whos key s expired end of December. 3 of the customers wanted to downgrade to Professional from ENT licences. All on V18

We reached out ot our reseller on how to do this but got zero reply.

As such, we purchased a Pro licence for one customer and when trying to apply the licence we get the above error.

I assume this is because it is a v20 key and not v18 key.

The Licencs have now expired, not a position we wanted to find ourselves in.

Can someone tell me the correct way to now proceed? Is it install V20 (Hosted locally) - when we try this it says we can not restore as the key from the V18 back up is expired.

Any help/guidance is much appreciated

Have you tried a backup without FQDN in v18 then uploading that to v20? Not sure if it will work like.

Thanks for the replay, we may have tried afew things, it was throwing mud at the wall when we attempted it so lots of things were tried. Can only really try it out of hours
