Hello friends,

I have VoIP PBX basic skills so, please, be patient ;-)

I have a 4SC Standard Perpetual Version hosted at Amazon EC2.

I have been waiting for an auto upgrade to V16. It didn't happen yet. Is it because a still using a Debian 8 version instead Debian 9?
My second question: Now that 3CX has a new price policy my perpetual license should be upgraded to a Standard 4SC Pro Version? Is that right?

Thxs!

Hi,
License is not standard and pro both, you have a perpetual 4SC STD and it will become a perpetual 4SC PRO if you are not coming from a free license

Take an all options backup from your actual 3CX, remove all on ec2 instance, install V16 based debian 9, restore your backup, and finally refresh your license from dashboard to be sure update to Pro is done.
in case is not contact 3cx customer service

As aws2p said - I would re-deploy using PBX express so that you can update your Debian version more easily in future.

However, if you want to you could try to update following the instructions in this blog post:

https://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/upgrading-debian/

to answer the general question, yes, V16 only shipps for Debian 9 and not Debian 8. This is why auto update is not triggering.
