Turn off Assistant taskbar messages

Oddly enough i've tried it out with no success.

As the work computers just have simple on-board graphic cards this might not be reproducable on normal pc's.
I do however have a XFX Nvidia 9600GT on my own PC where i might be able to reproduce this, if i can reproduce it there, then it means it could be something with Nvidia's Drivers or Even the way we render the 3CX Call Assistant.

Still existing issue, yes.

3cx assistant latest version and latest 3cx paid-for version.

We NEED the ability to turn off ALL 3cx assistant popup messages on the task bar. Sure, you can turn off notify on incoming calls, but the popup still gets shown for missed calls.

Please add option to not notify on missed calls.

VERY annoying when working in a high volume ring group to have this popup all the time.

In the latest Assistant from our Website this is possible.
We have added a Call Notification Tick Bar in the Assistant's preferences to Enable/Disable notifications.

Try that out.
Also i must say that the 3CX Assistant will be obsolete in V10.

Can you expand a bit more on Obsolete? Do you mean it wont work with v10 until you upgrade to the v10 assistant (as we did in v8 to v9) or no more assistant?

Damn

1) Well basically for V10 the current Assistant you are using has been completely scrapped and has been redesigned to a Web Based version.

2) The Assistant Service has been completely removed, that removes any problems with Service Related Issues, plus the Installer is 10 Megs smaller.

3) Runs on Silverlight which is as easy to install and as lightweight as Adobe Flash and is simply a browser extension/XPI/Addon.

4) Will be available through a User's Myphone Interface thus removing the usual problem that Admins have with provisioning a user's Assistant. You will now simply send out a welcome e-mail to all PBX users and the myphone link and credentials are simply included in that e-mail.
From that point on users can simply bookmark/favorite myphone on their browser for easy access.

5) Myphone/Assistant now includes an inbuilt dialer (Not a phone, just a dialer) to initiate calls much like the Assistant being able to initiate calls through the call function.

I don't allow my users access to MyPhone, I explicitly block it so that they do not have the ability to alter their 'Extension Settings' and 'Forwarding Rules', but if we wish to carry on with an 'Assistant' they now must have access.

Now with v10 of 3CX have you introduced any sort of granular access/security to MyPhone (there's a feature request for this) so that certain tabs in it can be disabled ?.

Well currently the only tabs that we can disable through the PBX are the SIP Auth Settings in Myphone which is something a regular user should not have access to.
It is set to hide Sip Auth Settings by default: Settings > General > Global Options > Show sip auth tab in myphone

Your request does make sense about hiding certain tabs from users, but for now i really doubt that we have the time or resources to create a feature for Admins to hide certain tabs in myphone, though i'm pretty sure this is something we will do after the first V10 release as Myphone will become an essential tool.

But if i were you i wouldn't expect this feature in the first release of V10

Given that it is now written using Silverlight, is there any api documention coming so we could write our own silverlight type assistant?

I honestly have customers who's users have all forms of web browsers disabled on their computers, so the web based assistant will cause major problems.

I currently do not have that information.
As far as i know V10 is still a work in progress but we have plans to release very soon.

Documentation is something will come a bit later on and i do not know whether it will include and API's or anything like that.

Yes, please make some time to improve this. I had to re enable MyPhone for users that had the assistant before and now need MyPhone but I don't want them to change settings of the extension (user information, voice mail, office hours, forwarding rules). With the current setup they can mess with it.
