Hello,

in order to be able to send SMS from Twilio with alphanumeric Sender ID it is necessary to add a parameter called MessagingServiceSid. I've been requested to adjust the Service Providers Template (XML), see here:

https://www.3cx.com/community/threa...-id-configuration-for-3cx.122926/#post-608387

but stuck to do so.

I just tried to export the current XML-Content of the twilio.pv.xml (copy & paste into notepad) and - as a first step - just import this (unchanged) xml-file, but get this error message:

Provider template file has incorrect structure
header / template - Value is required

This is the original content of twilio.pv.xml (header section)

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<doc xmlns:tcx="http://www.3cx.com">
<header>
<type>gateway-template</type>
<version>150003</version>
<time>2023-01-26 09:30:00</time>
<name>Twilio</name>
<url>https://www.3cx.com/docs/sip-trunk/twilio/</url>
<image>default-icon.png</image>
<logo>default-logo.png</logo>
<description>Worldwide</description>
<priority>2</priority>
<tags>e164,registrar,port</tags>
<templatetype>dedicated</templatetype>
</header>

There is no 'template'-value at all. If have tried to change the name from 'Twilo' into 'Twilio2' in order to avoid any errors importing the same provider twice.

Any idea what's wrong?

Maybe I should better ask if I'm on the wrong track. Is it possible at all to bring 3CX to post an additional parameter, when communicating with Twilio (Sending SMS)? From the Twilio's Console we are able to send SMS with alphanumeric Sender ID without any problems. Is is just this one parameter Twilio has to get in order to send with Alphanumeric Sender-ID, see here (Credentials are shortened for privacy):

curl 'https://api.twilio.com/2010-04-01/Accounts/ACa5ce3af9b632417724becda2bf21****/Messages.json' -X POST \
--data-urlencode 'To=+491761077****' \
--data-urlencode 'MessagingServiceSid=MG65a294485da5473a1e15d63ccac8****' \
--data-urlencode 'Body=This is an Test Message received with Alphanumeric Sender-ID. The only question is, how to bring 3CX to send this additional MessagingServiceID-Parameter' \
-u ACa5ce3af9b632417724becda2bf21****:[AuthToken]

I wonder if this could be solved by either editing providers template or Trunk&Chat settings (which can be exported, but obviously not imported and changed at all).

If someone is able to fix this issue for us as a (paid) service, you're very welcome.

Regards from Germany,

Lucas
