Our 3CX uses Twilio for SIP and SMS/MMS. Twilio recently posted an update stating that they would be enforcing HTTP Authentication for Call Recordings and MMS Media, effective July 31, 2023. I tested enabling this setting in my Twilio console and then tested receiving an MMS over 3CX. When the setting is disabled, the image comes in with no issue. When I enable the setting, the image comes in as a SMS message and I can click on the message and it will say "downloading..." but nothing actually happens. It just stays downloading.

I was wondering if anyone has enable this setting and if so what they did to setup this to work with 3cx?

  • 3CX Version, Professional Annual 18.0 (Build 415)
  • Server OS, Debian 10
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? On Prem
  • Provisioning Method: Local
  • Trunk Provider or Gateway Make/Mode: Twilio
  • Are custom Phone Templates being used: YES

Hi @TaylorStevens23

We are aware of this and we already fixed it for Update 8. For now you can leave that option disabled. Once Update 8 comes out you can enable it and test it.
