Is there a current how to anywhere to setup twilio sms for v20?

Hi,

If you have the SMS active on twilio you should only need to Enable SMS and add the relevant fields in the Trunk config page of your PBX - and paste your PBX API URL to the twilio SMS config for incoming.

Hi,

You seem to be using a Generic Trunk configuration and not the twilio template. I suggest you recreate the trunk with that template to make sure you have the proper elements for twilio SMS to work properly in place.

Roger, ok I spotted that now, thank you.
Now to make it work, my tests sms's back and forth are still failing

Also do check with twilio if your SMS DID is bidirectional, as it could be A2P only for example.

that could be it,
i managed to sms from 3cx to real world, but cant receieve yet.

it appears to be bidirectional as the inbound test sms appear in the twilio logs. I must have made an errro in the inbound configuration of 3cx.
do i need to put something into call handling?

alright ive tried
attaching the DID to the extension directly,
attaching the did to a que
but still no joy in receiving sms from the real world.

Solved.
The new trunk i created also created a new webhook url which needed to be updated within twilio.
