I'm having an issue setting up my Twilio SIP trunk with 3CX. (At least, I think that's what the issue is) I've successfully set up two extensions and provisioned two phones and they're able to talk to each other. Any inbound/outbound call to my Twilio number results in the call being dropped (incoming call) or a Forbidden error for an outgoing number.

I've attached the code below.

Code:
08-Jul-2015 13:46:04.396 Leg L:21.1[Extn] is terminated: Cause: BYE from PBX
08-Jul-2015 13:46:04.392 [CM503020]: Call(C:21): Normal call termination. Call originator: Extn:100. Reason: Forbidden

Any help would be appreciated.

This may indicate that you are attempting to change the outgoing Caller ID to something other than the number(s) that are assigned to you by your provider. Some get very picky about that sort of thing. If you have put numbers in the Caller ID fields anywhere, you might try removing them to see if that makes a difference, at least on outgoing calls.

Given that you are also having problem with incoming calls, there may (also) be an issue with registration. Look through the logs just after a re-boot to see if it shows a successful registration with the provider.

At some point, did you run the 3CX Firewall Checker to see that everything passes? It could be a blocked port.

I've just been able to get outgoing calls to work, but incoming calls are still not working. According to my Twilio logs, they're all failing. Below is what my logs from 3cx are showing.

Code:
08-Jul-2015 15:17:49.438 [CM500002]: Unidentified incoming call. Review INVITE and adjust source identification:
Invite-UNK Recv Req INVITE from 10.225.7.1:5060 tid=f98c.f84b7e83.0 [email protected]:
INVITE sip:[email protected]:5060 SIP/2.0

The firewall test shows that everything is working ok.

Ok. Incoming calls are now coming in as well. I looked through the logs and changed the source ID so that it would correctly identify the number. Thanks for your help!

Confirm that the IP address you are receiving the call from, is in the trunk settings for that provider, as sent. For security reasons 3CX doesn't like getting calls from unknown IP addresses and will reject them, which may be happening here.

What did you find, that you had to change, to get outgoing working?
