UK Ringback Tone in V16 even for North America Calls

When calling out from the 3cx web app or iOS app, I hear a UK style Ringback tone as if i am dialing an international number, however, I am not dialing an international number, i am dialing a North American Number.

3CX Support has confirmed that this is hard coded and unchangeable but that we should post the issue here so they can create a feature to fix this.

This is extremely frusturating and a poor user experience.

Given that is affects your users (a relatively small number of people, that are used to it), and does not affect incoming callers, it is probably not a high priority. It has been this way for a long time.

At least they do recognise it as being ringback tone.

it affects 100 percent of the users who use the system, (not a small group, all of them) and they are not used to it, they have complained and it is details like this that make regular users lose trust in IT people. User experience is extremely important to ensure a high degree of trust with IT technologies and it should be one of the most important things one thinks about when building software.
