Hi All,

Woking at home I logon to the mgmt console of my Pi based V18 fully up to date PBX installed about eight weeks ago, most days.
Never had a problem doing this.

Today 27th Jan 2022 I was logged in but nothing was accessible, (I just got a big grey box with a message I can't remember but the word web was in there somewhere when I tried access extensins etc. ) but calls were working, I called inward from my mobile (real not via the 3CX softphone which would have been an internal call local to the PBX)

On logging out of the console I could not log in again, server error message in red. Having temporarily lost the Pi password (Doh ! ) I resorted to a power off/on reboot.
The PBX came back, logged in and everything looked good.

Then looking at Email a 3CX message about a SSL Certificate being renewed, this is also in the Event Log (previously inaccessible )
Also a message about the WebMeeting bridge changing status to registered.

Certificate message etc. is too much of a coincidence to have occurred at the same time as locked out of any admin functions and then locked out of the console altogether.

If the console being inaccessible is due to an update then this is a real problem.

===============================
I have never tried accessing the Pi remotely, being near to the PBX made a reset easy but this could be a problem if I was away for any reason.
Admittedly the PBX appeared to be functioning, but I'm not full of confidence right now.

Regards

Hello @Burt99

The SSL renewal would not have caused the PBX to be inaccessible. The most likely scenario is that your Nginx or management console service was down which was resolved by restarting the system. Without the OS logs however its hard to verify this or what caused it.
The thing I do know is that all 3CX systems with a 3CX FQDN renew their SSL certs frequently and issues are very rare. Hopefully it was a one time thing and will not happen again but it would be useful to find the OS password just in case.
