For some time now, users have been unable to make calls using the Windows client. They used to be able to either type the number in or search the name and click call, and the IP phone would call the number. Now, it does nothing when you click on the green call button or double click their name. It works if the Windows client is in softphone mode but not in CTI mode. The users who have tried to use it and are having issues have Yealink T48u phones.

3cx server version 18 Update 9
3cx Windows client version 16.3.0.264
Yealink T48u firmware 108.86.0.93

Side note: I will be upgrading to v20 sometime this fall, but I wanted to get started with the fall semester without having issues so that is why we are still on v18. :) :)

Can you try the Store app or web client/PWA instead of the legacy client? I think that one's back to not being supported anyway...

@JohnWoodCC please try the new Windows client on MS Store and let us know if this works for you.

I had two co-workers try out the new MS Store 3cx app. It appears to be working for them like the old app with the click-and-call feature. I told them to let me know if they encounter anything else with the new app.

Now, if I don't hear about any issues, I will start to figure out an easy way for users to download it from the Store. That way, if you want it, great; if not, it's no big deal. Currently, most of our users don't even use the soft client we pushed out.

Thanks for all help @SteveITS and @ThomB_3CX

We had the same issue for two users who are using Yealink T46U. After upgrading the firmware to 108.86.0.93 they were no longer able to use it with the legacy client via CTI.
Installed the new client from MS Store for them and its working again.

Thanks.
