I have a current 3cx system (Enterprise 64 lines) running in Azure under linux. My users cant delete voicemails from the web client. No errors, it just does nothing. I can download the files and listen to them via the web client, but not delete. They can dial in and manually delete them. Any avenues i might explore?

Thanks

Going through the support logs i get this many many times:

2020/09/17 11:30:50.045|6109|0017|Erro|VMMonitor: Error parsing voicemail info file '/var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Ivr/Voicemail/Extensions/1101/vmail_3307231424_1101_20200617143408.xml'

Hi David,

The first thing to check would be the fs permissions:

ensure that the permissions and owner is like so in the folders of the voicemail

My permissions appear to be identical.3cx_vm_perm.jpg

Ok the next thing to do, is to grab a copy of that .xml file inside 1001's folder and read what's inside.

See for example if there are perfect duplicates of the same entry within the XML, or if there is garbage.

In the 1001 folder i have 3 voicemails, xml and wav file for each. One of them is 0 bytes for both files. The other 2 have these xml's. The look fine as far as corruption goes. I checked one of the other extensions i know has this issue. It has many more VM's and there is one set with 0 byte files. They appear to have happened within a day of each other. I have not checked others.

I deleted the 0 byte files from one of the directories to test. Refreshed the web client and only see the 2 ones that should be left. I then was able to delete them from the web client without issue. Anything wrong with that approach?

Many Thanks

Should be fine, and if you don't need the voicemails you can empty the entire folder (XML and WAV) and it should recreate a fresh XML when the next message appears.
