Hello,

New user here with a home setup for testing VoIP 'phones. Config is:
- Windows 8.1 Pro 64-Bit running VMware Workstation 11.1.2
- a Windows 10 Pro VM running 3CX 14.0.44241.523
- a Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter SP1 VM as a DHCP server (its only role)

The first 'phone fully working is a Polycom IP5000.
The second found fully working is a Polycom IP331. This had a flashing date/time that I couldn't resolve but it has fixed itself while I've been typing this post. (That was going to be my first post.)

I now have a problem provisioning an IP335. It's the second IP335 I've tried so I doubt it is a faulty 'phone:

- the 'phone reports Revision: 4.2.1.0275 16-Nov-09 19:42
- I have reset the 'phone by holding down 1,3,5,7 and using '456' password
- the MAC address 0004F2354E86 is configured in 3CX with Model 'Polycom SPIP335 (Firmware 4)'
- the folder C:\ProgramData\3CX\Instance1\Data\Http\Interface\Provisioning\9w4rvetugj includes:
0004F2354E86.cfg
0004F2354E86-config.cfg
0004F2354E86-directory.xml
2345-12375-001.bootrom.ld
2345-12375-001.sip.ld

The 'phone hangs at 'Updating BootROM. Please wait.'

Any ideas, please?

Regards,

Peter

Question, how did you add the extension? Manually or did you import the extension details?

Hello AlexanderHanna,

Thanks for asking. Things have moved on a bit - my problem seemed to be the mix of files in the provisioning folder. I've learnt a bit more since then including a reinstall.

I have quite a bit working now - IP331, IP335, IP4000, 3CX Softphone For Windows (local LAN only) and a Patton SN4114 FXO with my home PSTN line connected. I did have an IP601 working before the rebuild and when time allows I'll revisit getting some legacy 'phones configured.

I have a few specific questions which I'll post individually and I'll make sure to look more promptly for any responses.

Regards,

Peter
