3CX v16.0.1.273 Linux on-site (three sites)

I have been unable to connect 3CX server for at least 3 days.

Management console - Check Updates
Unable to reach 3CX Updates server. Check your internet connection and try again.

Managment console - Refresh License
Unable to reach 3CX License Activation Server. Confirm that your Primary DNS Server is able to resolve activation.3cx.com

Management console - Terminal
[email protected]$ nslookup activation.3cx.com
Server: 192.168.1.1
Address: 192.168.1.1#53
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: activation.3cx.com
Address: 151.80.125.88

[email protected]$ ping 151.80.125.88
PING 151.80.125.88 (151.80.125.88) 56(84) bytes of data.
--- 151.80.125.88 ping statistics ---
18 packets transmitted, 0 received, 100% packet loss, time 17390ms

The name resolves but I cannot ping it.
Is activation.3cx.com server/site down?
Does the www.3cx.com website show the status of the activation server?

Maybe 3CX could add a site is up/down status somewhere on the Community page.
Thank you,

Hey, I know it won't help much but I can tell you that this URL (activation.3cx.com) is not pingable. So, If you cannot ping it, that's expected.

That helps to know that the server does not reply to ping. Makes it tougher to know if it is online. I have three sites that have not been able to reach activation.3cx.com for updates or refresh license key info. The license is due to expire next year.
If I can't use ping to know if activation.3cx.com is online and updates/refresh don't connect then how do I tell if the server is online?

Thank you,

I just checked for updates and refresh again. One of the three sites worked. The other two have not.
That at least answers the question if activation.3cx.com is down.
Thank you

This comes up alot on the forum

Change dns to google 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 ,

Saqqara,
I added this to /etc/resolv.conf
nameserver 8.8.8.8
(left the other entries)

nslookup, check for updates and refresh license key are now working.
I don't understand why they would not work with my on-site DNS server, but if it isn't broke then don't fix it.
Thank you
