Dear 3CX support and community,

We tried to upgrade 3CX v18 to v20 and got error message stating it is unable to reach deb.debian.org.

We could ping deb.debian.org from the server and have changed the primary DNS to 8.8.8.8.

Is there anything else we could check?

From which build are you trying to upgrade? Are the pbx outgoing restricted in any way?

Hi @bitn2

upgrading from v18 Update 9 (Build 35).

there is no restriction on firewall thats how I could ping deb.debian.org from the server itself.

What kind of outgoing restriction you are talking about? I am not aware of any restriction in place. Users can make ougtoing calls

I dont know your firewall, the pbx needs to have free access to the internet without proxy or any other stuff. The Build is ok, there should be no problem to upgrade your pbx. Is your pbx installed from 3cx iso? You can also go the way to install again from iso and restore your backup.

yes, the 3CX was installed from 3CX iso.

There is no restriction from the firewall though
