Hello. I have 3CX Busines, with 2 telephone lines connected to a FSX Grandstream and 2 Linksys phones. There is a user who connects from outside, Internet way (I have fixed IP) with 3CX VoIP Client.

The system works fine. I have decided to try to connect with a Nokia E65.

I can´t make it work. I have 2 networks wifi and on both the Nokia navigates perfectly .

Configuration of the Nokia:

I follow the configuration detailed in http://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/nokia-e65.html .

1.-In the step of the configuration of the "Proxy Server" and "Registrar Server", I put the internal IP of the computer that have the 3cx when is connected to the wifi of the same net that 3CX.

2.-In the step of the configuration of the "Proxy Server" and "Registrar Server", I put the fixed IP assigned by the company when I connect from another network wifi.

In none of two cases it works, though in the case 2 the extension of the Nokia phone pears green, but It do not receive calls and in SIP Settings says "Registration Failed".

The version of the firmware of the telephone is 3.0633.69.00 06-02-08 RM-208.

In the Nokia, inside "menu" -> "Connect." -> " Tel. Internet " -> says " Connecting to 3CX via miwifi " and to the moment he says: " Unable to connect to the connection network "

Seemingly it must be easy, since I have seen that there is someone working, but the mine resists to me. I hope that it is some bilge that overlooks me.

Thank you.

P.D.: Also I like to know whath other similar telephones work in 3CX

Concentrate on getting it working on the same network first ( Your #1). Look at the logs in the 3CX to get clues as to why it isn't registering, IP, port problems, wrong user name or password, VPN settings etc. Do you have it set as a fixed IP on the home network?

Make sure you have chosen UDP as transport type and enter "3CXPhoneSystem" (enter exactly as it appears; captial C, X, P & S) on the REALM field of both Proxy and Registrar server settings.

Hi. I wrote exactly as in the 3CX Nokia manual configuration guide. In the "Proxy Server" and "Registrar Server" also, I have revised it several times. Also I have a fix IP on the Nokia, and the DNS of my provider.

Complete Nokia configuration:
SIP settings
- Name 3CX (Not registered)
-Profile Name: 3CX
-Service Profile: IETF
-Default Access Point: MiWifi (Internet works)
-Public User Name: sip:[email protected] (192.168.5.100: IP internal of the 3CX computer)
-Use Compresion: No
-Registration: When needed (I prove both)
-Use security: No

-Proxy server
-Proxy server address: sip:xxx.xxx.xxx.xx (The fix external IP of my net)
-Realm: 3CXPhoneSystem
-Username: 104
-Password: *** (the pass of the extension, 104 also)
-Allow loose routing: Yes
-Transport type: UDP
-Port: 5060

- Registrar server
-Registrar server address: sip:xxx.xxx.xxx.xx (The same fix external IP of my net)
-Realm: 3CXPhoneSystem
-Username: 104
-Password: *** (the pass of the extension, 104 also)
-Allow loose routing: Yes
-Transport type: UDP
-Port: 5060

- Internet tel. settings: 3CX

- In Call settings -> Default call type: Internet

I hope not forgot nothing. It looks must be easy, but anything must be wrong, I don't know were.

Thanks.

I can register on the same net of the 3CX server. When I had a moment, I'll write the configuration.

Now I want to make it works on diferent network (I`m proving it), cause it will work this mode.

Thanks.

You' ve got to have routes properly setup on your wireless router for your E65 to properly register.

Hi.

Those are the parameters of de conection on the same net.

Complete Nokia configuration:
SIP settings
- Name 3CX
-Profile Name: 3CX
-Service Profile: IETF
-Default Access Point: MiWifi (Internet works)
-Public User Name: sip:[email protected] (192.168.5.160: IP internal of the 3CX computer)
-Use Compresion: No
-Registration: When needed (I prove both)
-Use security: No

-Proxy server
-Proxy server address: None
-Realm: None
-Username: None
-Password: None
-Allow loose routing: Yes
-Transport type: Auto
-Port: 5060

- Registrar server
-Registrar server address: sip:192.168.5.160 (192.168.5.160: IP internal of the 3CX computer)
-Realm: 3CXPhoneSystem
-Username: 104
-Password: *** (the pass of the extension, 104 also)
-Transport type: UDP
-Port: 5060

- Internet tel. settings: 3CX

- In Call settings -> Default call type: Internet

This is workig fine, but in the same net of the 3CX server.

I'll try to connect on a diferent net.

Thanks.

I did so exactly. My E65 registers. It can receive calls, but when calling out or a different extension the server says:

What is wrong?

Ext. 12 is the E65. At this example i tried to call Ext. 10. Calling from 10 to 12 works fine.

Edit: Now I registered my Fritz!Box Fon to Ext. 13. The same error occurs when trying to dial out or internal.

You probably have something wrong in the settings of your provider. We have created a guide to fixing issues such as these please follow it. Also remember that when posting server code you must place it in the code and /code brackets.

http://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/source-identification-issues/

Sorry for not using the code tags.

Provider? What provider? In my example I tried an internal call in the same LAN with the same subnet.

But I solved the problem by setting the external IP in my nokia and my fritz box. Seems both devices have a buggy firmware. Both manufacturers are known for their buggy firmwares.

Thank you.

Joerg
