Unable to update Company name in portal

Hi

I would like to update the company name for one of the licenses as it was purchased but the company didn't end up using it, so we will re-assign it to another company.
The field is disabled and I am unable to edit it, from either the partner portal or the customer portal.
How can I update the company name?

Hi @CiFi

You can change the company name from portal.3cx.com but you need to be logged in with the email that is the owner of the license, not the partner account that the license is assigned to.
You can also change this from the PBX license section if the license is installed on a PBX.

Hi,

I did log in portal.3cx.com with the email of the owner of the license but still could not change it?
I changed the owner email to myself for now, but the company name is still disabled and I am unable to change it

Simply modify it from the 3CX phone system, not through the 3CX portal.
You were there when you changed the email address of the license owner.

So I need to install a 3CX instance, then assign this license to the 3CX instance, to update the company name, is that correct?

Through the customer portal. This license has not been assigned to a 3CX instance yet.

There is nowhere in there to change the company name of the license.
The company name in the "Personal Information" page does not correspond to the Company Name on the license page.
