My Fellow 3CXrs, I have a problem...
Long story short, our 3CX configuration for a client with just sub 1000 extensions have had their setup messed up a bit. Multiple users have the same RTP and SIP ports specified for their extensions and this turned out to create some issues with voice quality.
I would like to rectify this and some other formatting issues, and the easiest way I thought might be possible, would be to correct all the mistakes in excel and import CSV. I have since found a few issues..
1. Existing extensions cannot be overwritten.
2. RPT and SIP Port information cannot be imported (or I might not be doing this correctly).
3. MAC address info cannot be imported (or.. you know.. I might be the one not doing this correctly.
One positive thing I noticed, was that if I delete an extension, and import it using my CSV template, the provisioning URL stays the same, so with some manual input I can get a phone up and running again in only a few minutes. Problem is, I need to fix a few hundred extensions, and manually assigning MAC addresses and Port details to each extension would take weeks to complete (I have a crazy schedule).
Question:
Is it possible to import MAC, RTP and SIP info using a CSV file? (Please provide me with a link to a template if it is possible - I tried finding the template myself but failed).
Keeping my fingers crossed for some positive feedback! Thanks in advance!
