Solved Unsupported Firmware

Hello, I recently upgraded 3CX from v18 to v20, ever since I upgraded, I get an unsupported firmware warning on some of my phones. I have a Fanvil X7-V2 ip phone. On the 3CX, it tells me to upgrade the firmware from 2.12.16.20 to 2.12.17 but it doesn't upgrade even though the phone reboots. I tried upgraded my phones manually from the Fanvil website but I still have the same issue. I would like to know if anybody have this issue and what are the solutions?

Hi,

1. delete the phone
2. factory reset it
3. install the firmware manually from here https://www.3cx.com/docs/phone-firmwares/
4. once done, add the phone back to your extension
5. restart the phone and give it a few minutes to autoprovision

Note: Fanvil phones do not accept special characters in extension names, it could cause them to fail provisioning (and quite likely upgrading)
