Update 8B - Fixes a License Certificate error

Due to an error in our license certificate - the cause of which we are still discussing with our provider - we had to make an update to allow customers to activate or extend licenses. Unless you need to buy or activate a subscription today or tomorrow there is no need to update your system immediately....

Could you please clarify if the update 8B is required to install eventualy?
Or is the updated going to become obsolete (meaning that installations without 8B are going to be able to contact licensing / activation server) once you resolve the SSL issue?
