Did a yum update and everything works except Asterisk won't run. It says it is starting but stops running. It says to look at the following to find out what is wrong. Can someone decode this for me?

[
[root@voysbox ~]# tail /var/log/asterisk/full

Did you had g729, or digium fax for asterisk? If so, remove those modules and try again.
/usr/lib/asterisk/modules/
or
/usr/lib64/asterisk/modules/

I have already removed g729 module but it still won't run. I don't have the fax module

Does anyone have a procedure that doesn't break Elastix or Asterisk when you do a yum update. This is the third time this has happened with me. I am going to have to reinstall everything. I always wait to do an update because I have this fear that keeps happening. I have also restored the backup and still it won't boot. :(

Hence I have learned to spend some little cash with a dev machine to do the updates. Test it there first and run a checklist of functions. Once satisfied then do image backup of the production system then do the update.

However most of my updates have been flawless. Most that breaks is any customization you do.

Sorry if I don't have anything to share to fix this issue you are having but its just that proper update procedures saves you a lot of trouble.

+1 on Jordanlcn's comments...
