Hi.
I use some GXP2135 IP phones.
They have some random problem freezing.
Actually Grandstream supports only the 1.0.11.6 firmware.
The new 1.0.11.10 firmware has a fix for this http://firmware.grandstream.com/Release_Note_GXP21xxColor_1.0.11.10.pdf

I tried to manully update the phone downloading the new firmware to a local pc and using the browser to upgarde the firmware.
My problem is that the phones is reprovisioning to and downgrades to the older firmware 1.0.11.6

3CX Support told me now to download the newser firmware to this directory to the pbx
/var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Http/Interface/provisioning/"casual_directory"/firmware_new

As I'm new to Linux I have some difficulty to download the file to this directory.
I was able to SSH (root access) to the pbx (Cloud hosted) and I'm able to change to the directory.
How can I now copy the file from http://firmware.grandstream.com/Release_GXP2135_1.0.11.10.zip an can I unzip it then directly on the server?

Thanks for your help,

Andreas

You can use an FTP software, like FileZilla to connect and upload it.
Install it on your computer and then it is a simple drag and drop when you connect onto the server.

Hi Nicholas.
Thanks for your fast reply.

I installed the 3CX on MS Azure using the pbxexpress
Is a ftp server installaed in this instance using pbxepress?

Thanks for your help,

Andreas

I was able now to download the file using the linux command line.
I renamed the old Grandstream firmware.
How can I now update to the new "unsupported" firmware?
In the manamgent console I only see the latest supported firmware 1.0.11.6

Thanks for your help,

Andreas
