Keep your 3CX system up to date if you are not running the latest version.

3CX will be replacing SSL certificates required for PBX activation on February 24, 2025. If you’re running an older version of 3CX, your system will continue to work. From 24 February 2025 onwards, it will not be possible to renew the license if you ma...

Would be super helpful if you would tell everyone how to tell if you have V18 U9A or U9B. One client says 18.0 (Build 35).
I don't understand why this is so difficult. Searched all over the internet and can't find how to tell what version this is. That's 20 minutes I'll never get back. Should have taken 30 seconds.

Finally tried AI search and it says 18.0 (build 35)=V18 U9B but I want to make sure. Please confirm.

Again, why is this so complicated.

And again, please confirm that this V18 U9B doesn't need to be upgraded ASAP and will not be affected by this SSL Cert change. It's tax season and the client has said DO NOT TOUCH OR CHANGE ANYTHING UNLESS IT IS AN ABSOLUTE EMERGENCY. We will update to 20 after tax season is over.

Thank you for the information. That link is the first place I looked. It mentions nothing about (build 35) which is why I was irritated. A google search for "3cx 18 .0 (Build 35)" isn't helpful either. I'm just saying. I copied the version directly out of 3cx and couldn't easily verify which version I had from a nemail from 3cx.

Now that I'm not busy or on a phone call I do see that it says 18.0.9.35. I was searching for build 35 as it says in 3cx version page. I'll own that one. My point is why aren't they EXACTLY the same.

Auto updates don't do well for some clients. They are very finicky and want any issue dealt with right away and don't care what you have going on. IE, 3cx auto updates at 1 am on Friday and doesn't work for whatever reason on Saturday morning. Fix it now. Much easier and better to do it on a scheduled basis. Then the client knows what to expect if it doesn't work for some reason.

This is the last client on V18. Everyone else is already upgraded to 20.

Thank you

The numbering can be inconsistent.

FWIW we disable auto updates and enable them when we want updates to run.

There’s roughly one update a year which is required to maintain activation.

Please put the updates info also in the partner portal, so we can see in one page at what update the servers are.

It would be nice to know when the department contact books will be released

A bit off topic for this thread, but we will be releasing more information as the time comes. Trust me, you will find out about this being released.

Please try to keep to the topic so we dont derail the threads.

Hi @NicholasP_3CX , I know what you mean, but in the end it is not really off topic as if I would be able to see the current running versions in the partner portal then I would be able to see faster if one was still running on eg v18 SP 9A from within 1 total overview.
I was specifically referring to the question about the department phonebook. That was not directed at you!
