Updates available for 4128 - Run 'Check for Updates'

Nice update - including system crash:

Line 35, Char 51: Permission Denied.

Executing it locally brings error on line 38, char 9: Write to file failed.

When executing with local admin rights. Windows 2003 R2 server, all patches applied. This is a starndard box that only runs 3cs, nothing else. It was installed for 3cx less than a month ago. No other software is installed.

I ran the 'check for updates'. It seemed to work but my gui still reports '3CX Phone System Version5.1.4128.0' and there is an updates folder on my server that contains an updates.aiu file and a sub directory named 'Update 3CXPhonesystem to version 5.1.4287' with a file named 'update.4287.vbs' in it. My version tab still shows no entry under 3cx phone system update header. Am I updated or not?

paragondie,

Check the file version of one of the executables. I'm sure it's been updated.

The [service].exe files have new modified dates but I have no other indication which version I am running. That doesn't seem right to me. Either the updater works or it doesn't.

paragondie,

If you search the this forum you will find that I already posted on this subject. Although the files were updated the web interface still shows v5.1.4218.0. The 3CX Team is already aware of this. However if you right-click on one of the executables (say for example 3CXPhoneSystem.exe) and click on the "version" tab, you will see that the file version is 5.1.4287.0.

Tryed to run the update on Server 2008.
the first time i get the vbscript error but the files seem to be updated.
but the problem is that when i try to login to the admin panel (or userpanel) i only get an blank screen. the Apache logfiles seem to be oke (they are giving an HTTP 200 OK log entry)

Updated fine on XP install however in the Versions/Updates web page of 3CX I don’t see anything at all in the upgrade section.
This only affects our main server. The lab setup upgrades correctly and you see two updates listed.

Guessing it’s an issue with this specific build but its an odd one.

Cheers

Neil

When I try to run this update I get a VB error saying Pemission Denied but I am logged on as an Administrator with full access rights.

I am using Windows Server 2003

Thanks
Stephen
