updating 3cx

When updating 3cx is it best to

1. Download the full version again or use the link at the bottom of the download page to download the update or are the two downloads the same??

2. Would you then uninstall 3cx then install or just install over the top of the old one??

3. To configure 3cx would you use a saved back file or reconfigure the whole thing manually??

Updating

Hi,

At the moment it is best to make a backup of the config file using the Backup database option. Note that the format has changed in the latest beta 2. You have to rename the format, follow the readme for info. In future betas this step will not be required. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Then stop the 3cx services, uninstall the software using Add/Remove programs.

Then run the new setup file to install the latest version, and restore the configuration database...
