Upgrade from v15.5 to v16.x

I have a client running v15.5 on Windows Server. What is the appropriate method to upgrade them? Also I presume that the upgrade is free with licenced install?

Just did this myself to try and solve a problem. You need to run a full backup of your 15.5, then uninstall. Restart, install 16 and during the install, when it asks if you want to restore from backup to configure, use the backup you just made.

With the commercial license, the upgrades are included. This process is only needed on the windows machine, Debian installs can be upgraded without having to uninstall.

Take your V15.5 file backup out of 3CX folders otherwise, it will be wiped during 3CX uninstall.

Most important is to restore DURING reinstall, the complete process takes less than a quarter
