Upgrade from v18 to v20 on Windows, license problem

For v20 on Windows, you need the Enterprise License which was told that it's a "free" upgrade until I have to renew.
I wanted to update on Windows, I uninstalled v18, installed v20 and restored the backup but when it contacted the license servers I always got an error.
Does 3CX have to "upgrade" my license first? In my portal, I cannot upgrade the license because I first have to install v20 which is not possible.
So I'm stuck in a loop. What should I do now?

Thanks, I don't know what was wrong but today, everything went smooth without any error messages.

I think I know what happened. IPv6 DNS was working but no connection.
After we fixed the IPv6 issue, the installation was no problem.
Just as a hint if somebody else has the same problem.
