Hi

Just a well done to the 3cx team!!

I was worried upgrading my 3cx from v18 to v20 on windows.

I upgraded over the weekend. We had 2 new servers 2022 spin up because of HA setup.
All went well with almost 2000 extensions across 28 sd-wan sites, HA, Teams, 365 and Salesforce integration without any problems.

Regards
Johan

Thank you very much for your kind words Johan. This is very much appreciated. I will pass on this feedback to our team internally.

Have a great week ahead!

If I can ask, did you do a backup / restore on new VM, or did you upgrade in place, or something else? needing to do this myself for a client and the upgrade icon in v18 doesn't show any updates

I made a backup of the v18 system and copied the backup file to the new server. I then downloaded the installation file for v20, did a data restore on the new vm.

Windows installs need an uninstall/reinstall.

On https://www.3cx.com/docs/upgrading-pbx/ see "Deploy Windows via Installer." ("Deploy Linux via ISO" isn't necessary for an upgrade, just if changing from Windows to Linux to, say, avoid the Enterprise license requirement. The steps 1-6 above that are for a Linux upgrade.).
