I've (finally?) decided to take the plunge and upgrade to v20 after seeing the number of complaints reduce significantly, thinking that the system must have got through its teething pains. Unfortunately, it seems not to have.
I could not do an in place upgrade. I'm not sure why... reading the log was not helpful, it just seemed to give up. So I decided on a fresh install, and grabbed the Debian netinst ISO and created a new VM. I then shut down my old V18 VM, and installed the new image to a new VM, restoring the most recent backup. To my surprise I found that the phones tab has no phones associated. My Yealink-T58 is not provisioned, nor is the Grandstream ATA for my FAX machine (yes some of us still need one).
Looking deeper in the pages, my user has my phone associated with me, but doesn't seem to be properly instantiated. Deletion is an option, but that seems to be it. (And the T58 is still listed as a supported phone)
Similarly, the Grandstream HT801 is also there in the FAX config, but not active. It too is still showing as supported.
