Upgrading from Ver. 12 to Ver 16

We are currently running Version 12 and want to get current. Has anyone else made a large jump like this? Do we need to upgrade sequentially to get to 16? Any help is appreciated.

You will need to go step by step as you cannot upgrade directly.

I would suggest, if using windows, to make a clone of the current hard drive, perhaps even taking the opportunity of upgrading to an SSD (prices have tumbled), and do the upgrades on that drive. I have used the free version of Macrium Reflect, with success, many times.

This way, you still have the original , unaltered drive, should anything go wrong.
