We have a large opportunity with a sales company who have a US office and a UK office. We need to know if the the UK office will be able to dial locally to the US and if the US will be able to dial locally to the UK whilst both being on the same 3CX system or would they need 2 different 3CX systems? I.e could the US and UK be hosted on the same account or would they need to be seperated

Can be done on one system but this all depends on the amount of phones at end location and if there are connected via vpn

One 3cx system.

You just config the outbound rules to route the traffic down the correct trunk / sip.
Setup the system so that USA , UK have different block of extension numbers

For example
uk extension number numbers starting with 001 you would route down the USA trunk / sip
USA numbers dealing 0044 just route down the uk trunk / sip

If you go down the route of two systems, bridge them together and you can route traffic out of other system again using outbound rules

You can easily achieve this using Bridges.
Basically, each system is connected to the other one.
Then after that, you deal with the dialing prefixes, and it's all done !

I would agree with using two systems, and bridging. With one system, you would probably end up using an SBC at one end, and one SIP provider (assuming you use one from the UK and one from the US) would have to be registered "overseas", so national calls, from the SBC end would traverse the Atlantic twice. In addition if something happened to the 3CX end ISP (or any other failure), you would not loose service at both ends.

Hello @George Ashley

You can achieve this either by using one system with 2 locations or 2 bridges systems. Obviously there are pros and cons to both configurations so you might want to look a bit deeper in what other requirements the client has or might have long term before deciding on the configuration.
