Hi there,

I'm having some difficulties when trying to do some test calls fora 3CX server I'm configuring. I've created a test user account but despite signing into the web portal with their extension details, I can't see the extension online from the admin portal.

I confirmed that this test user is signed into the queue and available, I've confirmed the office hours are configured correctly and the call flow works and I've confirmed that the user is included in the call flow. The one thing I have discovered when testing is that when signing specifically into the mobile app, the user appears online.

The default admin account appears online whilst signed into the web portal so I'm unsure if this is just a dodgy extension or if there's something I'm missing. Any advice would be appreciated.

Kind regards.

Regarding your question, please in version 20,webclients work with PUSH and for the webclients to register and be able to accept calls, they need to have the notications settings enabled in the browser.

When you first open the webclient, it will notify you to accept the notifications

Or, Click the bell icon in the top left corner and enable the notification settings.

If you have missed this, then you can add this manually by pasting the URL below into the browser.

chrome://settings/content/notifications?search=notification

Add the URL to the web client in the section above. This will then show the users as registered.

Or from the browsers menu on the top left of the URL

Hi @Charles_3CX ,

in rare occasions like re installation of the 3cx v20 (we do for testing) , user will be required to disable notifications manually and re-enable notifications by clicking on the bell icon on webclient UI otherwise online status will not come even if notifications being allowed previously.

I don't know if that is a bug or a feature.

Hi @Charles_3CX ,

Thanks for that. I've looked into the browser settings and sure enough notifications were disabled. As soon as I enabled them the extension lit up green and had registered.

Thanks :)
