Hi guys,

Ive looked around online, but can't seem to find an answer to my question. Our situation is as follows:
- We are using 3CX in our office environment. We have 3 numbers which are all public and are being used by our customers.
- We have a door entry system that has its own extension (2080).
- When the ''bell-icon'' is pressed on the door entry system, the call is being routed to our IVR
- Obviously we don't want that system to be routed to the IVR, because it doesnt work.

How can I make it happen that when the ''bell-icon'' is pressed, the call gets routed to one of our receptionists via internal extension?

I thought it could be done with inbound and outbound rules, but after several attempts I cant seem to figure it out.

Hope you van help me with this and thanks in advance.

normally you can tell the entry system which number to be called. In the end, it is like an IP phone without a dial pad and one more speed dial buttons (the bell buttons).

He Stefan,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, we do not have access to the entry system (that is controlled by another party). So I was hoping it could be configured without access to the system.
But, if that is absolutely neccessary, that is a possebility.
Any other way it can be configured?

after the call, you need also to send commonly a DTMF combo to unlock the door itself.
I recommend to contact the company in charge of the door phone and ask for access to the call part or at last its current configuration.

A drastic measure would be to replace the whole unit with something you can control going forward.
We have some listed door devices

and currently work on adding more in 2020 to the lineup.

He Stefan,

I've contacted the company that is in charge of our door entry system. We were able to route calls to the extension in stead of a phone number. So the system is up and running now.
Thank you for your help and have a nice day!
