We are in hase f moingtoa VOIP PBX, and for various reasons ahve decided to give 3cx a try - no tthat some four technical staff are not happy with it due to bad integration into windows for a critical system like that). We still got a decision for that from higher up, so we have to make it work. Sadly it wont be uup to our standards, due to missing integration into SCOM :-(
The main issue is that we have besides bad managability is that we have OCS and Office Communicator 2007 in place now, and we dont want to roll out another SIP client. Does anyone have any white paper, HOWTO or resources for how to use office communicator / OCS with 3cx? Most of our people will do extremely low volume phone calls, so for most endpoints it is just a "make it available" thing - one main reason why another client just is not something we want to use. We ar enot exactly into advanced functionality, though full integration would be nice. Nut we simply dont want to put another software into the computers of our people who use office comunicator on a daily basis anyway.
