we are using at the moment Asterisk 1.6 for ca. 30 Extensions.
We have the problem as follows:
If somebody calls us it comes as a G711 stream. If I use G722 for internal calls the quality ist of course much better it is however not possible to forward this incoming call to any other internal extension because the codecs are different.
How would 3CX free act in such a situation?
There is unfortunately not too much provider supporting G722. 3CX should check it and choose automatically the supported codec.
Has somebody experiences?
