Hi,

I haven't found any information related to this in the forums. On some "older" Debian systems where the /usr directories are unmerged, the v20 upgrade fails.

Installing usrmerge on these systems (sudo apt install usrmerge) to switch to the merged /usr directories scheme fixes the problem and the v20 upgrade can then be applied.

Best regards,
Gilles

If you installed the 3cx from iso, you dont need to do anything regarding usrmerge.

The instances were all installed using the PBXExpress tool directly from the 3CX portal.

Yes you do. I had to install usrmerge on a dozen different instances. I am not reporting a hypothetical failure. I am reporting that the upgrade can fail on instances that were installed using PBXExpress but that were not updated to usrmerge at any point since then.

Hmm, strange... We dont have any instance with this problem. But most of ouer instances are on premise or self hosted.
