Release 7.4.8a
--------------
Mar 22, 2011

This release fixes a critical bug that affects the SPA50x and SPA30x phones operating in SPCP mode.

Bug fixes and changes since 7.4.8
=================================
- CSCto11646: Phone crashes or behaves erratically in SPCP mode.

So why to update, we dont use SPCP at all...

Re: v10 and new cisco spa firmwares

HI,

Between 7.4.6 and 7.4.8 was/is 7.4.7.

7.4.7 and 7.4.8 resolve some problems.

RIght now I can not post new features and problems because the info source is off.

Re: v10 and new cisco spa firmwares

We update the phones to the latest firmware when they are out. You can proceed. Nothing changed in the firmware that concerns us from .7 to .8.

If you really want to upgrade go ahead. But what is this particular rush to upgrade the moment a firmware is out? We upgraded but we did not publish for a reason. We do not trust working with a new firmware for 1-2 weeks only. We would want to keep a firmware running for a good period of time.

YOu should do the same. Upgrade one phone and leave it running. If you do not have reports or problems then you know you are safe.

Re: v10 and new cisco spa firmwares

Hi,

Then, when a new firmware is out, you wait some prudential time...waiting for user´s feedbacks and errors, don´t you?

The important firmware is 7.4.7.

Regards

Re: v10 and new cisco spa firmwares

Not only we wait for feedback - but we also test it ourselves and we keep it running for a grace period of time. When we are satisfied, then if we need we publish. If there is one of our requested features we will test heavily and release a supported firmware that same day if necessary. But if there is nothing that concerns us, we just let it get tested on its own during normal operations. We cannot update all our documentation and templates every time a new firmware is released.

But some people do - in that case we use their feedback yes why not. Many people like to download firmwares the moment they come out.
