V11SP4 no incoming calls after win 8.1 update

I followed the windows update recommendation and installed 8.1. My 3cx v11sp4 wouldn't accept incoming calls. I tried to reinstall 3cx but when attempting to open the administrative interface got the exception "configuration server is not connected." Is there a way to fix this?

Are you able to restore windows to a backup to take it back to 8.0?

3CX have not listed 8.1 as an officially supported OS yet, it might be safer to stay on 8.0 for now..
