Phone Model: Samsung Galaxy S8, SM-G950F
Firmware Version: G950FXXU4DSBA
3CX App: 15.5.400.874 (Beta)

I have updated my Samsung Galaxy S8 to the latest official update.
This has installed the new android version 9 pie.
Unfortunately the bluetooth headset doesn't work, if it was not available when the 3CX-App starts the first time.
When powering on the headset when receiving an incoming call, the phone will establish the connection to the Bluetooth headset.
But when the call is taken, the 3CX-App is completely ignoring the headset.
When I restart the 3CX-App as long as the headset is connected, it will work as before.

I have tried the new bluetooth support option, but this seems to make it much worse.
When enabled, the 3CX-App will never use the microphone at all (not from phone, not from headset), even when no headset was connected.
Also I could observe, when a call was taken by the headset button, the 3CX-App displayed no connection, but the headset was still active on a connection.

Hello @Severin Meyer

For the Bluetooth headset to work you need to enable the "Improved Bluetooth & Audio routing" option under the advance settings. However for this to work properly your device needs to fully support it. If the option was OFF by default then your device might not fully support this.

As the bluetooth headset was working on the same phone under Android 8.0, it seems to be different in Android 9.
Is there a way to get the same behavior back on Android 9?

Thank you. I now tried the Beta-Version of the app:
The bluetooth headset button works, but the sound is problematic:
  1. the person at the other end of the line does not hear anything (very problematic)
  2. at the beginning of the call, the sound hangs (like a defect CD) for a few seconds

So it makes no sense to me to use the beta version.

@cm1601com

Have you tried the latest version of the app 16.0.0.35?

@Everyone - Please upgrade to the latest app 16.35

It seems that the latest release works again as it was before.
I haven't tried to activate "Car/Bluetooth support".

If you have a samsung device S8 S9, do not try and enable that option.
During debugging, the call ends up lost inside samsung source code. We have no clue what happens.
We posted a question on stackoverflow as their Samsung developer forum seems a bit deadish..

I am using the Version 16.0.0.35 on S9+ with Android 9.
The headset buttons are still not working.

If I activate "Car/Bluetooth support", I can use the headset buttons to answer/end a phone call.
BUT: The person at the other end of the line still does not hear me! (I can hear the person well).
AND: In the first two seconds of the call, the phone call is a bit stuttering (but it is not as terrible as in the beta version).

Yes we declared these as known issues - they are in the change log and in the blog post. We sent a Report to samsung and on stackoverflow. We are awaiting feedback from Samsung. It is best that the car/Bluetooth option remains off for the time being.
