Having an issue where the phones stop getting call notifications, but they do get the missed call notification (Instantly)
This to me shows they are still communicating to google for the push notifications.

The only work around I have found so far is to toggle WiFi off, close the 3CX App in the background, restart WiFi and hope for the best.
In some cases I have had to clear the 3CX app and reprovision the account.
  • Phone Model: DOOGEE S68 Pro | Samsung Galaxy XCover 5
  • Android Version: S68 Pro - Android 9 | XCover 5 - Android 11
  • App Version: 16.7.8.121
  • 3CX PBX Version: 16.0.9 / Debian
  • Network Connection: WiFi / IPv4
  • Client is on the same network as the PBX or not? Yes and No - Tested on both
This is across multiple devices and multiple WiFi Access points.

@NPipes

Just want to clarify that, as shown in the diagram, the traffic to Google's/Apple's PUSH servers is Outbound traffic for the 3CX PBX so do make sure you have no outbound restrictions that might be hindering this connection.

What you could also try is disabling or enabling the "Telecom API" option for the affected android devices to check whether enabling or disabling it makes a difference. You can find this option in the 3CX Android App "Menu >> Settings >> Advanced". Try with it both OFF and ON.

If the issue persists, you might want to check our guide on how to disable IPv6 on the 3CX

We've had reports of this being an issue when IPv6 is enabled on the host as it tries to contact the PUSH servers over IPv6 first, thus causing a delay.
