V16 Browser Extension (Make a Call)

Can anyone please help this very fresh and green newb out?

We have installed V16 alpha in order to try out the "3CX" browser extension (note this is NOT the "3CX Click2Call" browser extension), but I'm not sure how to now get to the browser extension in (order to make a call) from the webpage / url / javascript action. In the old version, we were having to make a url call in a pop-out new browser window (awful tbh) and focus it so as to bring it to the top, but seeing as this is an actual extension and not a webpage, I don't know how to now get to it / bring it to the front.

Can anyone please help and ideally not using words longer that 20 characters as I am new to all of this and probably won't understand you otherwise? I'm a web developer, not a telephony expert ;-)

The extension has Click2Dial built-in. Simply click on phone numbers and the window will come forth.

Same for incoming calls.

But no way of actually "Dialling" and actually "Hanging Up", just a "dumb" window out of our control?
Also, the new pop-up still loses focus when you click back on the main web-page, so other than having some additional options within the pop-up (such as contacts etc.), it's still running another browser window (iframe actually), you can even F11 it to maximise for example.
So to reiterate, is there a way of literally making a "Call this number" function call and subsequent "Hang up" function call?
