Greetings all,

Because we have multiple outgoing DID depending on who we call, we had to come up with different prefixes for each SIP Trunk (i.g: *01, *02, *03, etc..)
Those prefix work fine when we call from the web client, or from a phone.

Today, I created a conference call using the web extension. Then along the call, we had to add last minute people. So I used the "Schedule conference" web page to add people.
I noticed that I could not dial out. Only to find out that I had to add extension 700 in all outbound rules so 700 could dial out.

Is this the best way to do that?
Or is there any way to say extension 700 belongs to "DEFAULT" or "XXX" group instead, so I don't have to go to each outbound rule to add 700 singularity ?

Thank you

Conference extension 700 is considered a system extension so it does not belong to any extension group. The only way to allow a system extension to place outbound calls is indeed to specify it in the allowed extensions field. Otherwise you would have to lift any extension or extension group restrictions from the Outbound Rule completely.

@ChrisC_3CX That's what I found out.
It would be really nice if the documentation could be a little more explanatory. Even going through all the 3 training levels, there are "figure-it-out-yourself" type of things here and there. Thanks !
