V16 to V18 via Management Console

• Server OS, Debian 9.9
• Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? On-premises, VMWare

Hello,
I've attempted to locate documentation regarding the ability to upgrade 3CX from V16 to V18 via the Management Console but didn't find anything specific to my questions. From what I understand the ability to upgrade should be available in the 'Updates' section if the VM host was created with the 3CX ISO, which I believe it is (this environment was previously supported by another provider.) My questions are, is there a way to confirm the current 3CX system was configured the correct way and if so how can I get the prompt to show in the Management Console?
