Hi Nick I ran that command and it totally made the server eat itself. I ended up restoring from backup.

I am sorry to hear that, that's why whoever I talk to, I always stress out the importance of taking backups.
We do the best we can to ensure a "controlled" enviroment, hence why we offer the the 3CX ISO (among other reasons), but at the end of the day, if there is an issue with the OS, it will eventually affect all software installed on it, which seems to have been the case.

I'll keep to the good news, there was most likely an issue on the OS, so just install it again and restore the backup you took. If this hadn't happened now, it would have eventually, so good that it was found sooner rather than later.

This is infuriating.

You still have the option for the user to choose the email client and you are forcing a web login.

What about all the corporate users who are on Outlook and have no idea what their email service is.

I'm not sure what you are angry about. If your users use Outlook (I assume you mean the Desktop client), then they need to choose the "Desktop Outlook (.ics)" when scheduling a conference.

Once you load the .ics file into Outlook, that should take care of the rest.

@Nick Galea Just to be sure we understand, the calendar to be chose depend on your OWN calendar, right? Not the recipient calendar? Because we have no way to know what they use..

The option should be chosen depending on what Calendar the organizer is using.

You just need to tell your users which option they need to choose. Now it should be even simpler for them as we have made the option in the drop-down more understandable and to the point.

@NickD_3CX While I will agree it is possible to train users, it would be simpler if we could simply disable options that are not required to reduce confusion.
