I have set up 2 dummy extensions on the system which will never be registered, and are set to send any calls to an outside number. When dialled internally this works fine and I immediately hear the ringing tone, but when I allocate that extension to 'press 1' and ring in from outside, then press 1, the call is apparently forwarded to the external number (they see a missed call) but I hear nothing. Anyone know why this isn't working? correctly?

Update: the call DOES go through to the external number, but the caller hears no ringing tone, just silence as it is transferred. Any ideas how to fix that? It will mess with caller's heads, no doubt! (if the dummy extension is called internally, the ringing tone IS present for the transfer)

I don't remember for sure offhand but I think it would play the conference music on hold because it's essentially conferencing the inbound and outbound calls? Or else regular MOH. Either way are those set?

Hi there.
Does it mean that in both cases your provider uses Early media (183) and in one case it sends audio in the stream and in the other it does not?

Turns out the MoH WAV file was corrupted so was not playing anything on the transfer time. How would one use different WAVs for different events?

You can have a different one but in Queue (each and different Queue), Share parking. For this event, there is only one MoH in the system.
