The DesktopApp supports tel: and callto: links already. They will make a browser extension for the other sites that don't use that.

Does it have to be activated somewhere? I had no websites where this worked until now.

It has to be the website that was coded that way. It's like links on a webpage but using tel: instead of https:.

Thus the browser extension that they will make. Just give them some time.

If there is already a "default app" set in Windows 10 for the "TEL" protocol, then the installation of the new Desktop App won't overwrite the default app.

This is a limitation of Windows 10.

We are checking though to see if there is some way we can detect this and at least prompt the user that there is a different default app selected and how to change it.

The instructions on how to change it on Windows 10 are:

1. Open Windows 10 Settings (not Control Panel)
2. Search for "Default Apps"
3. Scroll to the bottom and click option "Choose default apps by protocol"
4. Find "TEL" in the list and select the new 3CX Windows App

Yes did already find it, (old) 3CX windows app was still using tel and callto links.
