Main number goes to ring group (ring1, ring2, ring all etc..)

You can find your answer here .
So if you have a single DID then the SMS will be sent to the same number and the route that you have in the trunk, however, if multiple you can then choose one specific DID and then route the SMS to that DID, and for that, you will create a new inbound rule and specify your number and routing destination.

Hi,

I am running Build 889 (6 beta?) and the messaging options seemed to have disappeared. I read a posting about this, but it doesn't make it completely clear what to expect.

I have SMS configured through voxtelesys and it works. I also added flowroute (thinking about switching due to cost) and I setup the API key as directed.

Reading this doc (https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/sms-text/#:~:text=to step 3.-,Step 3: Routing SMS/MMS,-Now that you) it indicates that you enable SMS for each user, which is what I did when I had 18v5.

Now those options have all disappeared from the admin center and the webUI. Do I still have to enable SMS for a user, or does it automatically go to the extension that routing is setup for? In that case phone and SMS is routed the same way with the same option (no specific SMS routing option).

If I route a DID to a ring group, who gets the message?

HI
I have the same error as Zacman.
I cannot route the SMS to the Ext. In the 3cx U5 you only had to go to the User, you chose the Ext that was going to have the SMS and then when you activated the SMS you chose the Number configured to send and receive SMS . This option disappeared or I have not found the way in the U6 to make the routing of SMS to the Ext.

Please help us solve this problem. I think most 3CX users who upgraded to U6 have this problem.

Thank you very much for everything

Using the new Webclient Admin panel, you can create a digital receptionist to handle the calls.
But you can also select to forward the SMS to another destination (ie. your specific user).

The IVR can play a message or silence or progress tone and then transfer the call wherever you want in 1 second.
