v20 4SC PRO IP Route addition/modification

Hi,

We have deployed 3cx image from Azure marketplace with v20 4SC PRO trail version. I'm trying to register Linphone softphone with 3cx, i could find register message is reaching 3cx but 3cx is sending the 407 Proxy authentication response from Management interface (eth0) IP instead of Voice signalling IP (eth1) and packet is getting lost. Based on 3cx activity logs (Verbose), Default best-route IP is determined as eth0's management IP not Voice signalling IP eth1. I have tried to change the Default gateway interface IP to eth1's voice signalling IP from the Network tab on the GUI (Managemnet console) and restarted the services but still eth0's IP is getting picked as default best route as per the logs. On the IP route table, eth 1 interface is with metric 200 (Low priority) than eth 0 with metric 100, is there a way to update the metric and add/delete the routes in the ip route table. We have tried different options but unable to get the Network interface path on debian. Network Manager service and /etc/network/interfaces are missing in the deployment. Could you please suggest.

I would urge you to review this document https://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/network-configurations-supported-3cx-phone-system/ which states in a segregated network, only one of the 2 interfaces can have a default gateway.

Hi Nicholas,
Thanks for the quick reply. I have selected 10.200.x.x IP as the default internet facing IP on network tab --> "Choose which IP is the Default Internet facing IP address (Default gateway)" but not sure why 172.16.x.x IP is picked as default best route IP. I need IP 10.200.x.x to communicate on both softphone direction and SIP Provider direction. 172.16 IP is the management IP whereas 10.200 IP is for Voice Signalling. Please find the attached images. Could you please help.

You would need to send the information with persistent static routes at the operating system level to achieve the routing.

Hi Nicholas,

Yes. We are exploring this option but unable to find either Network Manager or /etc/network/interfaces on the OS level. We have Debian 12 OS but not sure whether someone can help regarding the route addition "persistent static routes" as suggested to make 10.200.x.x IP as default IP to handle Voice signalling traffic.

Hi Nicholas/Team,

I could register linphone softphone with 3cx after adding persistent static routes on debian vm. ip routes added on path cd/etc/netplan/50-cloud-init.yaml file.
