Hello All,
With V20 still lacking features in V18, is there an opportunity for continued v18 functionality beyond 2024 until v20 has matured?
One item that sparks this question is the removal of granular scheduled reports within 3CX. 3CX v20's scheduled reporting feature only supports a single global run time for all reports, while v18 provides complete granular control, establishing the power to set run times per report. In one environment supported by v18, 15 simple scheduled reports are fired each day at specific times, and this capability has been removed with v20.
Another reporting item removed from 3CX in v20 is the ability to focus reports to extension ranges within a department. In v20, the reporting system is limited to specifying the department, losing the option to filter to extension ranges.
3rd party systems explicitly advertised to address this shortcoming of v20 can be licensed; however, for simple reports, the back-end and additional capabilities that need to be licensed are a bit overkill.
With 3CX pushing back the restoration of granular scheduled reporting until after 2024, would 3CX be willing to enable v18 to continue functioning past 2024 to avoid environments enduring a below lateral move and losing functionality with the goal that these environments would switch to v20 when it's more mature and workflow tools wouldn't be lost?
Thank you!
